Why Christmas trees are good for the world: A Response
#1 They do bring the outside inside. in that case, welcome to my home bubonic plague.
#2 the are pretty and make people smile. and they smell nice. until they die because you took them out of their natural environment.
#3 the world is made up of natural things; in fact, all things that are made are made from something organically from the earth. the imperfect and natural world is more beautiful than the imperfect, immoral. it is immoral to cut down trees for Christmas vanity. therefore, your tree is ugly.
#4 it probably does not cause more harm to the environment to manufacture plastic trees which are rarely disposed of than to fell tomes of trees that are disposed of en masse just for a bit of pine smell.
#5 getting rid of people prevents forest fires.
#6 mary likes the fake tree, and chews on the pine needles.
#7 I want to date/be a forest-dweller. don't you? i mean, you ARE from davis, which is not a far cry from Berkely. right?
